Day 1: Explore Marrakech on a full day

Welcome to Marrakech, the “Red City”! Named for the natural pigment in the sandstone used to build its walls and buildings. On a full-day tour, you will be able to explore all that the city has to offer with a knowledgeable tour guide. You will see the city’s sights, including the famous Djemaa el-Fna square, and learn about the culture and history of Marrakech.

Also, Discover the enormous Koutoubia Mosque, one of the most beautiful and famous mosques in Marrakech, built in the 12th century. The mosque is made of red sandstone and is decorated with intricate carvings and mosaics.

Continue Exploring the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and El Badi Palace and shift to the south. and the Majorelle Gardens which are a perfect spot for respite away from the crowds.

Day 2: Marrakech to Casablanca

After breakfast, you’ll travel from Marrakech to Casablanca, exploring the city and seeing some fascinating sights with your guide.

Start your exploration of Casablanca at the Hassan II Mosque, one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. As the largest mosque in Africa and the seventh-largest globally, it’s an impressive sight. Built to honor King Hassan II, it’s also a symbol of the Muslim faith for Moroccans. Non-Muslims are welcome to visit the mosque.

After you have finished exploring the sight and sounds of the mosque, it is time to move on to the next destination. You can’t miss the Medina in Casablanca! It’s got fantastic architecture and vibrant history. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to explore this fascinating area.

Your guide will advise you with some top tips for making the most of your time in the Casablanca Medina. If time permits, we’ll explore other destinations before heading back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Casablanca to Fes

On the third day of our 8-day family, Morocco tour takes us from Casablanca to Fes via the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the city of Meknes. We’ll start the day with a visit to Volubilis, where we’ll see the well-preserved ruins of a Roman town.

Then we’ll head to Meknes, where we’ll explore the city’s historic center. Start with Mansour Gate, one of Morocco’s most popular tourist attractions. The gate is located in the city of Meknes, and it is one of the most well-preserved examples of Moroccan architecture.

Visit the Other mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail before arriving in Fes, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 4: Explore Fes with a local tour guide

Begin From the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fes el Bali to the world-famous Blue Mosque. There is much to explore in Fes. Climb to the roof of a nearby shop for a better view of the goings-on at the Chouara Tannery. Then, visit the 14th-century Al Attarine Madrasa to admire the zellij tile work. After that, check out one of the oldest, still operating universities in the world, Al-Qarawiyyin University (859 ACE). Finally, find the Mellah (old Jewish quarter). Head to Fes el Jdid for a dose of history mixed with modernity. The early 20th-century French designed this slightly newer part of the city. Enjoy the rooftop view before heading to your local Riad.

Day 5: Fes to Merzouga desert

On day five of our eight-day family tour of Morocco, we’ll be leaving the city of Fes and heading to the desert. We’ll travel through the Atlas Mountains, stop taking in the views, and Continue to Midelt for lunch.

Along the drive to The Ziz Valley Oasis, This beautiful valley is home to a wide variety of plant and animal life, as well as stunning rock formations.

Leave forward to the town of Merzouga Sahara desert. We’ll hop on camels and ride into the desert dunes to watch the sunset.

Experience a genuinely authentic dinner under the stars at a Berber camp, followed by an evening of traditional music around the campfire. Spend the night in a Bedouin-style tent for an unforgettable experience.

Day 6: Merzouga to Dades gorges

Wake up early morning to catch the sunrise before going back to your vehicle to continue the tour from Merzouga to Dades gorges. This will be a long day of driving, but the scenery is spectacular, and there are plenty of opportunities to stop and explore along the way. We’ll start by visiting the Rissani market; this traditional market offers various goods, from spices and olives to hand-woven rugs and traditional clothing. Rissani is also a great place to try authentic Moroccan food. In contrast, the market is open every day.

Continue to Todgha Gorge, a dramatic canyon with towering cliffs, before continuing to the Dades Valley. Here, you will spend a fantastic night in an entirely quiet hotel.

Day 7: Dades gorges to Marrakech

Leave Dades gorges to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou. We arrive in Ouarzazate, this beautiful city with plenty of other attractions to keep visitors busy.

Visit the Film Atlas studio, a must-see for any film fan. This studio has been used for the filming of many Hollywood blockbusters, including Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator. Visitors can take a tour of the studio and see where some of their favorite movies were filmed.

Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, this UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the foothill of Atlas Mountain. The Kasbah is a fortified city that was once an important stop on the trade route between the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea. 

Continue your journey through the High Atlas mountains. Toubkal is the highest peak in the mountain range, at 13,671 feet (4,167 m). Stop and stretch your legs near the top for a great panoramic view of the mountains. Taddart is a great place to visit an Argan Oil Cooperative and learn how olives are processed for various uses.

As you descend the High Atlas, you will notice a dramatic change in the climate and landscape. Soon you will find yourself in the midst of the noise and clamor of Marrakech where your day will end in a local Hotel.

Day 8: Transfer to the airport
